"The good end happily, and the bad unhappily. That is what Fiction means"
Analysis: Miss Prism says this and it means: only in a make-believe world good people end up happy and bad people end up unhappy. She has written many fiction and romantic novels and seems like a very idealistic person. But after being torn from her love by moral obligations, she does not believe in fiction anymore. The whole play is idealistic though (Wilde is criticizes idealism) everyone gets exactly what they wanted. This shows that this book is completely fictional and not everyone gets what they want in the end.
